LLANELLI slipped to a third straight Principality Premiership Tier Two defeat after producing another disappointing performance at home as Bridgend left Parc y Scarlets with a bonus-point win.
Jack Condy, Rhys Fawcett and Greg George were on the scoresheet, with all three tries converted by Dion Jones but, ultimately, the Sospans had to make do with a losing bonus point.
Llanelli took the lead in the third minute with No.8 Condy piled over, converted by full-back Jones.
Fly-half Joseph Scrivens missed the chance to get the visitors on the scoreboard after 14 minutes when his penalty sailed wide.
But the visitors were slowly beginning to find their stride and scored on 24 minutes through hooker Iestyn Merriman following a driving maul, although Scrivens missed the conversion from out wide.
The visitors then took the lead on 37 minutes when scrum-half Chris Williams raced away from his own half to score, although Scrivens’ conversion attempt rattled back off the posts.
However it was the home side who would take a lead into the break when, following a scrum close to the Ravens’ line, prop Fawcett barged his way over, with Jones adding the extras to put Llanelli 14-10 up.
Scrivens’ penalty five minutes after the re-start pulled Bridgend back to within a point, before George scored a third try for Llanelli on 52 minutes, with Jones once again converting.
Back came Bridgend with their third try just shy of the hour mark which was finished off in the right corner by No.8 and skipper Evans although Scrivens missed the conversion.
Scrivens, though, did level with the scores 21-21 with his second successful penalty in front of the posts on 65 minutes.
Bridgend went back in front 28-21 four minutes later with their fourth try scored by wing Garin Lougher, converted by Scrivens, and it proved decisive.
