In the friendly encounter away at Bridgend, Llanelli gave opportunities to Elliot Rees Felinfoel RFC, Liam Puckett from Glynneath RFC, Jak Price from Tenby United along with Llangennech RFC quartet of Martyn Bowles, Kieran Cullen, Ryan Nunes & Rhys Davies.
In perfect weather and underfoot conditions both teams and the man in the middle were doing their very best to keep the ball alive and entertain.
An early penalty from Llanelli full back Gareth Walters was followed by a smart try from Justin James from a deft kick from outside half Stuart Morris. Walters converted from the touchline.
The home team came bouncing back on 23 minutes when a cross-field kick from Dixon was gathered by Ryan Evans who took his opportunity well to score.
No further scores for the rest of the half was recorded with both defences coming out on top.
The Ravens got on the score sheet early in the second half when former Llanelli player Greg George came on to replace his yellow carded skipper Ashley James and scored a fine individual try which Dixon converted for a slender lead.
With nine minutes remaining Walters kept up his 100% kicking with a good penalty to regain the lead.
But back came the home team through a try from No 8 Andrew Waite converted by Dixon, which looked like the winning scores.
Skipper Adam Powell who was in fine form all evening was again at the heart of his team’s final forward effort which resulted in him touching down for the potentially match winning score.
Sure-foot Gareth Walters had the difficult kick to win the game and he confidently succeeded much to the delight of his team.
