After a gap of three weeks the boys get back into action this coming Saturday with a home fixture. The weather won the day on Easter Monday at Cross Keys and last Saturday our game against Llandovery was postponed due to their involvement in the National cup semi's. So, we are back at Parc-y-Scarlets this week where we host Neath RFC in our next Principality Premiership league game, kick off is at 2.30pm on Saturday.
We've played Neath a couple of times this season, winning both games. We played them back in September at the Gnoll and secured a really good result on their patch. Then at the 'Parc' in November it was an all together different encounter. We won a very close game that day and with recent results improving for Neath, I expect this up and coming game to be a close run affair. The boys recent performances have improved considerably and I'm sure they'll be looking forward to the challenge that Neath pose. The RGC result was a real fillip with discipline and endeavour on show for all to see, I'm sure the coaching team will be asking for the same level of performance and commitment for Neath and all the remaining league fixtures.
Neath earned their first win in the second phase last week with a hard fought win over the All Whites at St Helens and previous to that might have also won at the Brewery Field against Bridgend. As I've said, they ran us very close back in November and they will come to the 'Parc' with some renewed confidence after recent performances. They've been in the news recently signing Regan King and other quality players coming into the side next year so the current squad will be wanting to impress the Management and Coaches to secure a squad place next season - there's no better place than Parc-y-Scarlets to do that.
Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
